Circa 1930 X braced Regal "Marveltone" model.  Serial #2235.  00 sized and braced by Regal in its Chicago factory in the style of period Martin guitars.  We believe these Regal Marveltones are an excellent alternative to period Martin 00-18s and they tend to have wonderful tone with build quality much high than Regals lower end models of the day.  We love the sound of this one as it is wonderfully well balanced.  Beautiful spruce top with solid mahogany back/sides.  This guitar has definitely been enjoyed over the years and the has significant top wear, various scrapes and nicks/scuffs as well as some "buckle rash" on the back. Replacement bone nut.  Mahogany neck is a deep "C" profile with the slightest hint of "V". Rosewood heelcap and headstock veneer..  MOP Marveltone logo.  Replacement rosewood bridge and compensated bone saddle. Original tuners. Old crack repair on upper portion of the back. Original frets are in good condition with only slight pitting in portions of the first two frets and have been freshly dressed.  Neck previously reset and action is very comfortable.  Comes with non-original HSC.
