Scarce jumbo sized Recording King jumbo made by Regal in Chicago.  Circa early 1940s.    These were originally sold through Montgomery Ward.  It is well known that Regal made these jumbo models to compete with Gibson's "J" series guitars of the day.  We love the loud and full voice these have.  X braced (some were double X braced but this one is single X braced).  5.0" deep at end pin. Original rosewood fretboard, original frets, original pickguard, and original three on a plate "valve" tuners.  Mahogany neck with a hint of soft "V" profile.  Repairs include:  neck reset, new rosewood bridge, frets leveled, one top crack repaired (this one was splined but another top crack repair was previously glued), back crack repairs, braces reglued, new spruce with a maple insert bridge plate, new bone saddle, old headstock crack repair touched up by adding a rosewood veneer and refinishing the area, celluloid back binding splices.  Comes with non-original hardshell case.
