Circa 1910s Galiano labeled grand concert model. Incredibly rare - this guitar is signed under its top by A. Cerrito, an Italian immigrant luthier who did work for Oscar Schmidt and likely other builders. Comfortable deep "C" shaped neck profile with slight hint of "v" on mahogany neck. Beautiful old world style multicolored purfling, rosette and backstrip. White celluloid binding. This guitar has been rebuilt by Dan Lambert including repairs/enhancements/tuning of the original ladder bracing, retaining original wood whenever possible, new radiused ebony fretboard, back crack repairs, new bone nut/bone saddle, new ebony period correct pyramid bridge, neck reset, carbon rod inserted into the neck for added structural integrity, new spruce bridge plate with maple insert. Very old stable top crack repair on upper bout treble side. Original tuners. 14.75" lower bout/10.75" upper bout/8.75" waist, 3.75" deep at end block. Includes used chipboard case.
