Circa 1935-1937 Oahu 72K deep bodied "Nick Lucas model". These guitars are often to referred to as a "poor man's Nick Lucas" referring Gibson's deep bodied Nick Lucas model. Made by Kay in Chicago. Round neck. Factory X braced. Spruce top with flamed maple back/sides. This guitar has received restoration work, is in excellent condition for its age and plays very well. Restoration work included: replacement ebony fretboard, new frets, neck reset, adjustable truss rod added (access through the sound hole), replacement ebony pyramid bridge, new compensated bone saddle, new bone nut. Tuners appear to be period correct replacements and function well. Various finish scratches, scuffs, etc. but no cracks. Screw holes from original pickguard have been plugged. 4 5/8" deep. Hardshell case appears it may be original.
