Rare circa 1910s Antonio Cerrito signed guitar. This is the second Cerrito we have had the good fortune to restore. Cerrito was an Italian immigrant luthier who built stringed instruments out of his New York City workshop from approximately the late 1890s-1920s. Comfortable deep "C" shaped neck profile with slight hint of "V" on mahogany neck. This guitar has been rebuilt including repairs/enhancements/tuning of the original ladder bracing, retaining original wood whenever possible, new radiused ebony fretboard, new bone nut/new bone saddle, new ebony period correct pyramid bridge, neck reset, carbon rod inserted into the neck for added structural integrity, new spruce bridge plate with maple insert. Two repaired top cracks. Original tuners. Includes used chipboard case.
