An exceedingly rare early 1900s Antonio Grauso built auditorium sized guitar. Antonio Grauso was an Italian immigrant living in New York City in the early part of the 20th century who built guitars, mandolins and harp guitars. Spruce top has a beautiful patina. Solid mahogany back/sides. Beautiful ornate original tortoise colored pickguard. Multicolored inlaid purfling, rosette and backstrip. Original ladder bracing has been removed, restored and reinstalled. New slightly radiused ebony fretboard. New frets. Replacement ebony pyramid bridge. NOS ebony bridge pins. New bone nut/new compensated bone saddle. Original tuners. Two repaired back cracks. A carbon rod has been inserted into the freshly reset neck to enhance structural integrity for another 100 years of playing.
