An extremely rare example a Benson grand concert sized model. This guitar is very loud and punchy for its size. Peter Benson guitars were made in Minneapolis, Minnesota from 1891 to 1933. It is reported that Benson sometimes outsourced work to Lyon & Healy, Larson Brothers and Martin. P. Benson is burn branded on the back brace visible through the sound hole. This guitar has been expertly rebuilt by Dan Lambert including repairs/enhancements to the original ladder bracing tuned for optimal tone, retaining original wood whenever possible, neck reset, new ebony fretboard with slight radius, new position markers, new ebony pyramid bridge, new frets, and new bone nut and new bone saddle, new ebony bridge pins. Top crack repairs and one back crack repair. Also, a carbon rod has been inserted into the neck to enhance the structural integrity for another 100 years of playing.
